The weather was gorgeous for being mid February. We took a walk around the grounds and headed inside the legislature. Merrick and Paul decided to pose in front of some Alberta wildlife, and being a proud Mom, I made a paper crown for my little guy. We had our photo taken by the Edmonton Sun photographer and were expecting to see it in the paper the next day, but didn't quite make the cut. Oh well!

Family Day 2008
On February 18th, 2007 Alberta celebrates Family Day. All Municipal and Provincial employees have this day off, with the exception of course being emergency personnel. Lucky for Paul, his days off happened to fall on Family Day, so being the "new" family we are, we took Merrick to the Alberta legislature for some Family Day events.
